StormStock cinematographer and founder Martin Lisius just returned from the Great Plains with a batch of amazing storms he shot on 8K video. The material includes huge “supercells” he forecasted and intercepted. A supercell is a thunderstorm with a persistent rotating updraft. They produce the world’s largest tornadoes and hail, and prolific lightning. The entire storm spins counterclockwise (cyclonically) which makes for impressive visuals.
